Halfway Motors has come a long way since our humble origin as a grocery store located halfway down Hodder Avenue. In
1963, we expanded and became an automotive dealership, selling the prestigious line of Studebaker automobiles. Shortly
thereafter, in 1965, we relocated to the former International Transit building on Memorial Avenue, adding Volvo, Jeep and
Fiat to our lineup. Nissan was added in 1968 and, under the guidance of co-owners John Trevisanutto Sr. and Lee Fogolin Sr.,
we became well known for our commitment to customer satisfaction. That same commitment is alive and well today under the
ownership of John Trevisanutto Jr. and Bruno Niederer With Nissan as the exclusive supplier of quality automobiles.
John and Bruno, along with their team of dedicated professionals, pledge to bring the highest level of service to their customers.
Halfway Motors is a ten-time Nissan Award of Merit winner for overall dealership performance, as well as a winner of
the Thunder bay Chamber of Commerce Quality Management Award for 1996. Halfway Motors is also a Lake Superior Division
Alpine major sponsor, a major sponsor for the Sibley Ski Tour for past 15 years and an annual sponsor of the United Way.
The Nissan Spring Series Alpine Races that attract over 250 young alpine skiers for the Nissan Cup. Halfway Motors has
always and will continue to help numerous charity organizations and food banks in the community.
Halfway Motors believes in supporting Thunder Bay's great community activities and athletes, like the Sibley Ski Tour,

various food and charitable fund drives, such as the Shelter House and the Food Bank. It's our own way of helping to
build on this great community.
