Xtronic CVT™ (Continuously Variable Transmission)
Unlike ordinary automatic transmissions, Sentra’s available Continuously Variable Transmission is a virtual “gearless” transmission that’s able to sync up with your demands. When you need power, push down on the gas for a quick rush of linear acceleration while the tach holds steady. And when you’re cruising along, the CVT holds the rpm nice and low for maximum fuel economy. 6-speed manual Transmission
Control is king and this standard 6-speed manual transmission keeps you close to the action. Triple-cone synchronizers in first and second make for brisk and precise shifting. While a smaller rpm drop with each upshift means a more seamless response to your demands.

Suspension (Ripple control)
Ripple control. Conventional shock absorbers are designed to absorb shocks. But when they hit a bump, they tend to vibrate, sending little “ripples” through the suspension, which can be felt by everyone riding in the car. Nissan “ripple-control” shocks help damp out unwanted vibrations for a smoother, more controlled ride.

Brakes
Sentra’s available Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent brakes from locking up during panic stops. It’s offered with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), designed to compensate for any extra weight by increasing rear brake force.

Speed-Sensitive Steering
All curves ahead, you can handle it. Rebound springs help control motion during cornering and curves for a smoother, flatter, more secure ride. Sentra also has vehicle speed-sensitive steering that gives you a more solid feel at higher speeds and more power assist at lower speeds, such as parking.
